A Christmas countdown calendar is a wonderful tradition that builds excitement as the holiday approaches!!
Countdown calendars come in all shapes and sizes.
Ours is a wall or door hanging made of sturdy fabric, with “Buon Natale!” across the top and
24 numbered pockets (one for each day, beginning December 1st through Christmas Eve.)
Pockets are large enough to hold a treat, tiny toy, or other small gift.
Our Calendar comes with a packet of 24 numbered coloring cards.
Each card shows a cheery Christmas picture and its matching Italian word or phrase. Children can color the pictures and learn a bit of Italian Christmas vocabulary at the same time! Leaving the colored picture in its appropriate pocket helps children visualize how far they’ve come! And when the new picture is placed in the next pocket for children to find in the morning, it’s easy to see how close they’re getting!
